Labor and Industries

Cascade Neuropsychology is an approved provider for Washington State Labor and Industries. For those injured on the job and experiencing psychological distress as a result of your industrial injury, we are able to provide the following services:

  • Psychotherapy

  • Health and behavioral interventions

  • Psychiatric medication management

  • Neuropsychological, psychological, psychoeducational evaluations

We can provide telehealth treatment for injured workers anywhere in the State of Washington. We recognize that each person is unique and that your pain and psychological distress is not a “one size fits all” problem. We strive to work with not only you as the injured worker, but your care providers as well.

Below are some commonly asked questions about our LNI program

  • Yes, LNI requires a referral and prior authorization for services. If you are needing mental health care as a result of your work-related injury, please discuss this with your doctor. They can fax a referral to 360-785-2016.

  • If you're concerned about your mental health in relation to your work injury, it's important to discuss these concerns with your doctor. They can refer you to us by faxing a referral to 360-785-2016 or by completing our online referral here.

  • In most cases, your doctor will send a referral to our clinic for a mental health evaluation. Once we have a spot available, you will be contacted by our team for scheduling. Most services must be pre-authorized by your LNI claims manager.

  • No, all of our providers are remote. With the exception of neuropsychological and psychoeducational testing, your session will be telehealth. We do have some limited in-office space for those who lack a safe and reliable internet connection, do not have a secure space for their session, or are otherwise unable to do telehealth. These rooms are set up as private counseling offices with a TV screen and a secure internet connection.

The one exception to this is that LNI requires anyone receiving remote services to be seen in person once every 6 months. Our clinic will arrange this for you if your services go beyond 6 months.

  • Yes, all patients must be in Washington State to receive services.

  • Yes and no. We are required to submit our documentation to LNI. We are also required to report on your progress and ongoing struggles. With that, we are mindful that people share sensitive information in counseling and do share only what is necessary for LNI to know.

  • We try to place you with a provider who most aligns with your diagnosis. With that, all of our providers are trained in the LNI system and are skilled in mental health counseling. You may request a specific provider, but due to wait lists, that person may or may not be available.

  • No, we are an outpatient private practice. We do not offer crisis care. If you are having a mental health crisis, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or dial 988. You can also text HOME to 988.

  • No, we do not offer mental health care, beyond neuropsychological testing, for commercial insurance.

  • Yes, we have some limited spaces for those injured on the job and worked for a company that was self-insured (i.e. not LNI).
