What is a forensic neuropsychological evaluation?

A forensic neuropsychological evaluation can be crucial after a car accident to assess any potential cognitive, emotional, or psychological impacts. This comprehensive evaluation helps in understanding the extent of brain injury, if any, and its effects on daily functioning. It provides objective evidence that can be vital for legal proceedings, insurance claims, and medical treatment planning. By identifying specific cognitive deficits and emotional changes, the evaluation aids in developing targeted rehabilitation strategies, ensuring the best possible recovery and support for the individual.

When Should I Request a Neuropsychological Evaluation?

You should get a neuropsychological evaluation if you continue to experience post concussive symptoms three months after your injury. Post concussive symptoms might include, but are not limited to, difficulty sleeping, headaches, impaired short-term memory, difficulty with speech and language, attention and concentration problems, increased irritability.

Billing

Forensic evaluations are paid in full up front. We will provide you with all the necessary documentation for your PIP benefit reimbursement. We are not able to bill commercial insurance for car accident evaluations. Fees can vary depending on what you are needing, how many records you need reviewed, if there is a deposition required, etc.
